  • Create Content Folder

    The Content Folder option allows you to organize your content items. Navigate to the page you would like to add a content folder and hover over Build Content. In this example, we are creating a content folder on the Course Content Page.

    A drop-down menu will appear. Scroll to and click Content Folder, listed under the New Page column.

    Enter a name for the Content Folder in the Name text box.

    Optional: You can choose a text color for the folder name text by clicking Color of Name drop-down. You can also enter a description of the content folder in the text editor field.

    You can change the folder options to permit users to view the content and/or track number of views, as well as, select date and time restrictions.

    When finished, click Submit.

  • Create a File

    The File option allows you to post a file on a course content page. Navigate to the page you would like to add a file and hover over Build Content. In this example, we are going to create a file on the Course Content Page.

    A drop-down menu will appear. Under the Create column, scroll to and click File.

    Click either Browse My Computer or Browse Course depending if the file resides on your computer or if you've uploaded the file into Course Files.

    The Name field will pre-populate with the file name. Either rename or remove the file extension in the File Name field.

    Optional: You can choose the text color by clicking on the Color of Name drop-down arrow and select if you want the file to open in a new window.

    You can change the file options to permit users to view the content and/or track number of views, as well as, select date and time restrictions.

    When finished, click Submit.

  • Create Audio Link

    The Audio link options allow you to create a link to a media item. You can create an audio link to play on the page.

    Navigate to the page you would like to add an Audio link and hover over Build Content.

    A drop-down menu will appear. Under the Create column, scroll to and click Audio.

    Click either Browse My Computer or Browse Course depending if the audio file currently resides on your computer or if you've uploaded the file into Course Files.

    Enter a Name in the File Name field.

    Optional: You can choose the text color by clicking on the Color of Name drop-down arrow and select if you want to include a transcript for people who cannot hear the audio.

    You can set the Audio Options to Autostart, Loop or Add alignment to content.

    You can choose to set the standards options to permit users to view this content or track number of views. You can also set Date and Time restrictions.

    When finished click Submit.

  • Create Image Link

    The Image link options allow you to create a link to a media item. You can create an image link to show an image on the page.

    Navigate to the page you would like to add an Image link and hover over Build Content.

    A drop-down menu will appear. Under the Create column, scroll to and click Image.

    Click either Browse My Computer, Browse Course or Browse Mashups (Flickr photo) depending if the image file currently resides on your computer or if you've uploaded the file into Course Files.

    Enter a Name in the File Name field.

    Optional: You can choose the text color by clicking on the Color of Name drop-down arrow, add Alt text and enter adescription.

    You can set the Image Options. Such as Dimensions, Border, Image Target URL, Open in new window or Add alignment to content.

    You can choose to set the standards options to permit users to view this content or track number of views. You can also set Date and Time restrictions.

    When finished click Submit.

  • Create Video Link

    The Video link options allow you to create a link to a media item. You can create a video link to show on the page.

    Navigate to the page you would like to add a Video link and hover over Build Content.

    A drop-down menu will appear. Under the Create column, scroll to and click Video.

    Click either Browse My ComputerBrowse Course, or Browse Mashups (YouTube video) depending if the video file currently resides on your computer or if you've uploaded the file into Course Files.

    Enter a Name in the File Name field.

    Optional: You can choose the text color by clicking on the Color of Name drop-down arrow.

    You can set the Video Options to set Dimensions, Autostart, Loop or Add alignment to content.

  • Create Web Link

    The Web link options allow you to create a link to an external web page.

    Navigate to the page you would like to add a Web link and hover over Build Content.

    A drop-down menu will appear. Under the Create column, scroll to and click Web Link.

    Enter a Name in the Name field. Enter a URL in the URL field. Optional: You can enter a desciption in the description text box.

    Optional: you can attach a file to the web link. Click either Browse My Computer or Browse Course depdening on where the file resides, either on your computer or in the Course files.

    You can choose to set the options to permit users to view this content or track number of views. You can also set Date and Time restrictions.

    When finished click Submit.

  • Create Course Link

    The Course Link option allows you to create a shortcut to an existing content area, tool, or item.

    Navigate to the page you would like to add a Course Link and hover over Build Content.

    A drop-down menu will appear. Under the Create column, scroll to and click Course Link.

    Click Browse.

    The Select Course Link: pop-up window will appear. Scroll to and click the Course Item you want to link to.

    The Name and Location will auto-populate. You can change the Name and the Name text colorDo Not attempt to change the Location as this is the course path to the link you selected. Optional: you can enter a description in the text editor field.
