DotCIO Releases “Office 365 @RPI” Service to all Staff, Faculty, and Students.

Tue, 03/06/2018 - 13:15 -- mcglow2

The Division of the Chief Information Officer is pleased to announce that Rensselaer has partnered with Microsoft to make Office 365 available.  The service is available for free to all faculty, staff, and students at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Each community member has access to the ProPlus level of Office 365. This enables access in the cloud, as well as allows you to run Office locally on up to five devices, and works on PC, Mac and iOS or Android phones and tablets.  Rensselaer will not be utilizing Office 365 for email delivery at this time.

As a Rensselaer service, Office 365 @RPI is subject to the same policies and procedures as any other Rensselaer resource which has been made available to faculty, staff, and students.

If you are a staff person, you should not, nor is it necessary to, download or install/upgrade Office 365 on your work computer/laptop.  If you would like to arrange for an upgrade, please contact your IT support team to schedule this.  The licensing does allow you to install on up to four other devices.

Additional information on this service can be found at https://dotcio.rpi.edu/Office365.  If you have any questions, please contact the helpdesk.
