DotCIO's Information Technologies Infrastructure, in conjunction with Rensselaer's Office of Undergraduate Education, is pleased to report that wireless capacity and technology was upgraded in the Darrin Communications Center lecture halls this spring. Specifically, the upgrade included the installation of 802.11ac wave 2 access points, which are optimized for high-density experience and provide multigigabit uplinks to the campus network. These upgrades intend to support tools and concepts which promote participation and engagement with course content, instructor and students, and future upgrades are planned for other large classrooms across campus this summer.
Both Information Technologies Infrastructure and the Office of Undergraduate Education encourage users to use the Wireless Upgrade Feedback Form to provide feedback regarding these recent upgrades. Thanks in advance for your time and your help!
