DotCIO will be offering Rensselaer students an option to purchase Adobe Creative Cloud through Rensselaer at a significant discount over Adobe’s normal student pricing.  Pricing is as posted and subject to change at any time.  Currently licenses purchased through Rensselaer will cost $110 and will be valid from activation through the following summer term or until you are no longer an active Rensselaer student, whichever comes first.  There will be no cancellations or refunds for Adobe software once it is requested.

Whether or not you currently have an active subscription through Rensselaer, if you wish to participate for the upcoming academic year you must request the software by visiting the Software Licensing Tool.  If you already have an active subscription through Rensselaer, you should not see any lapse as long as you complete the request prior to the start of the fall semester.  For new subscriptions, the software will be activated by the first week of classes for the fall semester.  You will see a charge for Adobe software on your student bill sometime this fall.

If you choose to purchase through Rensselaer and have a current personal (non-Rensselaer) Adobe subscription, you will need to cancel your personal subscription to avoid continued direct billing or charging from Adobe.  Any data stored in your personal Creative Cloud would need to be downloaded/exported prior to cancelling personal subscriptions to avoid data loss.
