Business Email Compromise (BEC) is a sophisticated cybercrime targeting Organizations and Universities where attackers impersonate trusted individuals including Executives, Faculty or Staff, and trusted vendors. From our AI Security Analyst, PhishStick, from March 2nd, 2026 to April 2nd, 2026, our team has blocked 8,835 Business Email Compromise attempts before they were delivered to our RPI Community mailboxes.
