Have Questions on Rensselaer Mobile Computing Program? Visit https://www.rpi.edu/laptops or Submit a Support Request and we'll be glad to answer any questions!
The IT Services and Support Center (ITSSC) has been established to provide a centralized location for self-serve help through the use of an active knowledge base featuring commonly requested content and documentation of known issues, as well as an online ticketing system to submit a request for IT assistance. This system will improve our efficiency, communication and collaboration to provide an improved support experience resolving your IT inquires.
As of November 2018, ITSSC now encompasses all the DotCIO departments resulting in a much easier and less confusing path to request IT assistance in a centralized location. We anticipate ITSSC will improve staff efficiency, communication and collaboration among our teams providing an improved support experience for the entire campus community. The knowledge base is a work in progress with a goal to develop a robust, mature source of information for all of our IT services and support.
Once you click on Get Help - Click to Enter ITSSC -- in the upper right hand corner sign in with your RCS credentials (if known); Click Submit a Request; select an IT category which corresponds to DotCIO department teams and resume completing the form. Please read the Getting Started with this Center article to have a better understanding of the different IT categories. When in doubt select Support Request.
Help Desk The Help Desk on the main floor of the Voorhees Computing Center (VCC) is the first place to go for help and information about computing at Rensselaer. Members of the Rensselaer community are able to make computer-related service requests at the Help Desk. These include questions about hardware, software, networking, mobile devices, and accounts. If the question cannot be addressed by Help Desk Staff, they will escalate requests to the appropriate group for action.
Disabled students may request of either Disabled Student Services or staff at the Help Desk to arrange that personnel from the Computer Repair Center meet with them at the Help Desk.
