Virtual Private Network (VPN)
Available to all students, faculty and staff, Rensselaer's Virtual Private Network (VPN) service provides off-campus individuals with a secure connection to the RPI campus network.
Student Residence Network (ResNET)
ResNET consists of the all of the networking that is in place within the campus' student residence areas.
Remote Access
Remote access into campus is currently only supported via the campus' Virtual Private Network, or VPN.
Network and Server Monitoring (Checkmk)
The Checkmk infrastructure-monitoring application offers monitoring and alerting services for servers, network devices, and services.
Student Email
Rensselaer students can access their RPI email at outlook.office.com using their RPI Email and password.
Anti-Spam Services (RESPITE)
The Rensselaer Enterprise Spam Interdiction TEchnology, or REPSITE, server scans all email addressed to @rpi.edu and @lists.rpi.edu to detect possible spam and viruses.
Video and Web Conferencing (Webex)
Webex by Cisco provides video conferencing, online meetings, screen share, and webinars.
Mailing Lists (SYMPA)
DotCIO offers a mailing list service which is powered by SYMPA, a full-featured service that allows members of the campus community to create, manage, and subscribe to mailing lists.
File Sharing (OneDrive)
Similar to Box, OneDrive is a free cloud file-sharing service that provides end users with the ability to access files with any Internet-capable device from almost any location.

Box.com file sharing service is available to all Rensselaer students, faculty, and staff free of charge.
