Rensselaer requires CrowdStrike Falcon, a next-generation antivirus product, to be used on all Institute-owned devices. Unlike traditional antivirus software, which does not provide adequate protection against new cyber threats to the campus, Falcon not only provides traditional virus protection but also reports detected threats centrally and provides an ability to respond when such threats are detected.

Computers that are joined to the win.rpi.edu domain will automatically install the software.  For other systems, it will need to be manually installed.
