Upon their arrival to Rensselaer, all members of the campus community are issued an official ID card which is used to:

• Access buildings, residence halls, dining halls, classrooms, labs, and athletic facilities.
• Check out library materials.
• Make purchases for goods and services wherever Flex Dollars or Rensselaer Advantage Dollars are accepted.
• Ride the CDTA (Capital District Transportation Authority) bus for free.
