Having your computer hardware fail isn't the time to realize that you haven't backed up your data, so it's crucial to backup important data from your desktops, laptops, and tablets, and even your smartphones. 

Cloud storage -- which includes Box -- offers an optimal solution for backing up your data automatically.  Some Cloud storage options allow you to choose to just work in the Cloud, which will require an internet connection to get to your files, or to synch your files between your device’s local storage and the Cloud.   You may also consider using external devices to back up your data, but keep in mind that these physical units also have the potential to fail.
