Obtaining IT Equipment

DotCIO provides services to assist departments with providing employees access to the right IT equipment to ensure they can be successful in their specific positions.  

The services include:

  • guidance and recommendations for both general equipment lifecycle planning as well as consultation on how to meet specific requirements
  • computer system configuration, installation, setup, and training
  • ongoing systems management and support

Support For:

  • Individual employees should seek guidance from their direct supervisor regarding planning and funding for requests for new or replacement IT equipment. 
  • Departments or labs should work with DotCIO to plan for purchase and deployment of new IT equipment, reuse or redeployment of existing systems and retirement or decommissioning of IT equipment.

Individuals in need of support should go to the DotCIO Get Help page for self-help knowledge base, how to request assistance and current help desk hours for phone or in-person support.   If it is determined that your equipment requires hardware repair or replacement, we will consult with you and provide recommendations for repair options or replacements as appropriate.
