Wireless Network (eduroam)

Rensselaer participates in eduroam, a secure world-wide roaming Internet access service developed for the international research and education community and which allows community members at participating institutions to obtain internet connectivity at any other participating institution.

Visitors to Rensselaer's Troy, New York and Hartford, Connecticut campuses can use eduroam by connecting to the rpi_eduroam Service Set IDentifier, or SSID, which is available in most areas of the two campuses. Connection requires authentication and encryption via 802.1X PEAP (MSCHAPv2).
